Phoenix Constructions (QLD) Pty Ltd is a commercial and industrial builder that was founded in 1992 by Mr Robert Evennett and Mr Barry Marsh bringing both a building and professional background to the new commercial building company.

Barry was well known in the North Queensland building industry with over 25 years service as a carpenter, foreman and project manager with various well respected North Queensland building companies while Bob Evennett had a strong association with many of Townsville’s engineering and architectural consultants having been a long term supervising engineer and contracts manager with two of the city’s major consulting engineering practices. The high profile of Barry and Bob allowed Phoenix to hit the ground running and with a strong commitment to honest and open relationships with consultants and clients the company has continued to grow along with North Queensland.

With Barry’s retirement from the company in 2011, Bob’s eldest son, Nathan Evennett has taken over the directors duties in the every day running of Phoenix with Bob currently stepping back in day to day duties within the company. Nathan’s employment with the company since 2000 as a project manager and the company building nominee has enabled him to follow on with and maintain the honest and open relationships with consultants and clients in the industry. Phoenix has retained an enduring core of executive management, senior managers, site staff for over three decades with majority of employees having 10+ years with the Company. Over twenty (20) employees work in the company and Phoenix continues to grow. Phoenix is still the largest family-owned commercial and industrial businesses in Townsville with client commitment and superior partnership foremost in mind on every job. Phoenix is driven to bring creative solutions and expertise to every challenge.
